EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is known for its effectiveness in helping you heal traumatic memories as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It can also help with panic, anxiety, depression, and much more. EMDR uses a structured process, which includes bilateral stimulation to allow your brain and body to process distressing memories in a healthier way.
Parts Work Therapy
The basis of parts work therapy is that we are made up of various parts that create our whole self. Parts work seeks to help you heal the parts of you that are holding onto past hurts. It also helps heal the parts of you that are creating problems in your current life such as feeling frustrated, stuck, and unmotivated.
Grief Counseling
Grief is inevitable in life. However, it’s much more than the death of a loved one. Grief includes any type of loss from the loss of your dream job, losing your home to foreclosure, and even the end of a friendship to name a few. Grief is normal but can feel overwhelming and paralyzing at times.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma is not simply the event that you experience, but how you take in that event including emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and sensations. Trauma is stored in the body. Trauma therapy helps you to resolve any trauma that is stored in your body allowing you to find freedom from what’s been holding you back.
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety is the most common issue people come to therapy for. There are many triggers to our anxiety as adults: the news, social media, the workplace, parenthood, and the overall pace of life to name a few. Learning what your triggers are, understanding and gaining control of your nervous system, and learning strategies that work for you are key for coping with anxiety.
Postpartum Counseling
Your dream of having a baby may not have included the struggles with breast feeding, sleep schedules, balancing your own needs, and your relationship with your partner. Our society provides few supports to new and repeat moms. I can help you navigate pregnancy and postpartum and thrive as a mom.
Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy
-
As with most things, when it comes to therapy, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Committing to show up to your sessions on-time and on a regular basis as well as being willing to try out new strategies are crucial to you getting the most out of the therapy process.

I do not accept insurance coverage and am considered an out-of-network provider. However, I’m happy to provide you with a specialized insurance “receipt” called a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We do accept debit and credit cards as well as HSA (Health Savings Account) cards.

Therapists are not able to prescribe medication as we do not have the medical training required. Typically, physician assistants (PA’s), psychiatrists, midwives, doctors, and advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNP’s) are all legally able to prescribe medication.
-
This varies widely depending on what you are seeking help for and the time you have available to commit to therapy. This will likely be discussed in your first couple of sessions.
I’ve never been to therapy, what should I expect for my first session?
Your first session involves your therapist asking you questions to find out what is going on currently that’s been bothersome and asking questions about your past to have a better understanding of your life journey thus far. In the first session, you have the opportunity to also ask questions. The therapist will discuss a treatment plan, meaning discussing what your goals are for therapy, and how your therapist will help you reach them.
