Are You All Work and No Play?

Our society has it backwards.

The idea that you work 40+ hours a week until you hit retirement age, and THEN you start enjoying your life.

That makes zero sense.

That may have been your parents’ journey, but if I’m being honest, it sounds kind of miserable.

Who wants to wait until they are in their mid-60’s or older to start doing the things they truly want to do?

Why wait?

Why not incorporate those things into your life NOW by finding a job that supports your career goals as well as your other dreams and goals?

There are many companies that continue to not support the mental health and well-being of their employees. Corporate America as a whole continues to miss the mark.

Bosses calling and texting at all hours of the day. No respect for your boundaries or the fact that you’d like to have a life outside of work.

They overwork and underpay you, and IT’S JUST NOT WORTH IT.

Life is too short to sell your soul to a company that will replace you within a few weeks if something should happen to you.

Having a strong work ethic is a beautiful thing but making sure you are valued and have fulfillment in your work is equally as important.

Right now, there is life to be lived.

Right now you have choices to make about what you do with your time.

What does your ideal day look like?

Give yourself permission to dream a little and think about what that ideal day would like from the moment you open your eyes in the morning to the time you close your eyes at night.

I encourage you to not settle for bosses and administrations that are looking after their own well-being ultimately. To not settle for companies that do not value what you bring to the table.

There is so much more out there. Often my clients just need the additional support and encourage to take the leap to look at other options and put themselves out there.

You truly deserve to have a fulfilling life outside of your work.❤️
